Simtti huyi baazuyon mein,

Taa’der mein sochti rahi thi,

Kis abr-e-gurez paa ki tarah,

Main kis shajar se katt gayi thi,

Kis chaaon ko tark kar diya tha,

Main us ke galey lagi huyi thi,

Woh ponchh raha tha mere aansu,

Lekin barri dair ho chuki thi..
